My "issue" when I came to Kristen was rehab for a blocked spinal-cord nerve-root surgery that had not gone well. This was preceded by a life-long history of spinal column diseases and 7 interventional surgeries over 35 years. Kristen’s rehab thinking, her theory, centered on the neuro-muscular relationship. On day one I had little strength and could not even feel my muscles in action. Kristen started with very light and very carefully monitored strength work to get the muscles activated. It wasn’t even until the 6th month mark that I began to get out of pain and start to feel some strength returning. She was so patient and positive…much more than I was!

There’s no better way to say it—Kristen Miller (aka "Coach") has changed my life. In the winter of 2022, I found myself at a low point: I went from running my first marathon to being bed-bound after a bunionectomy that didn't go as planned. A year ago, I couldn't have imagined signing up for a 5k open water race or running my first 10-miler post-surgery. But here I am, thanks to Coach’s unwavering support and expertise. Her tailored approach has empowered me to push my comfort zone in unexpected ways: like beginning to learn to lift heavy weights, or consistently practicing sprinting- without injury. What sets her apart is a genuine dedication to her clients' well-being and the professionalism she brings to the table. She doesn't just prescribe workouts; she creates personalized plans that align with individual goals and capabilities.

An incurable condition brought me to Kristen - adult degenerative lumbar scoliosis. My goals: to get out of debilitating pain and avoid surgery. Kristen understood my diagnosis, and she patiently worked with me. Kristen is a physiology ace. It has taken 7 months, twice a week, but I can do more now than I could before my diagnosis!! I make progress without the exercises causing pain. She works on my body alignment and posture issues that I've had all my life; I see progress there, too.
